Team West have won the Threesome format in the e-Stars Seoul 2010 Continental Cup, which means East and West both hold one point.
The Russians from MYM were the first to finish their Threesome match, where they had been paired with TitaNs on de_tuscan. It was no trouble for MYM to overcome the Singaporean team, winning 16-4. TyLoo had been linked up with fnatic on de_dust2, which produced a really nice match between the two. TyLoo only managed a 8-7 lead after finishing their Terrorists side, something that pleased the Swedes. Now playing on the Terrorists side, fnatic saw no trouble reaching nine rounds to win 16-11 overall.
In the last match of the Threesome format, it should be a troublesome matchup between Frag eXecutors and WeMade FOX on de_inferno. The South Koreans started out by crossing the Poles pretty bad and at the score 10-1 Jakub "kuben" Gurczynski's PC crashed, but only three rounds later the admins managed to pause the game. After a dispute, replacing the PC that kept crashing, the teams agreed on resuming the match from 10-1 with fixed start money for each team. WeMade FOX did however keep the momentum high and after all things had been cleared, the South Korean team kept going strong, coming out on top with a 16-8 score.
This means that the Treesome ends with a 2-1 victory for Team West. As Team West won the Threesome in Counter-Strike 1.6, they receive one point. Team West did however not do well in the WarCraft 3 Threesome, where Team East nailed three wins out of three possible, meaning both team East and West hold one point each, after playing the Threesome format.
Up next will be the Deathmatch format and by the looks of the performance in the Threesome, Team West really have to crush Team East, if they shall be standing a chance at winning overall.
